Behind the association Uneinsam.ch is a project dedicated to combating loneliness and social isolation. Whether through volunteering, participating in activities, sharing ideas, or simply spreading the word about the project – every form of support can help bring people more connection and less loneliness. Thomas Mario Vogt is the president of the association Uneinsam.ch and is dedicated to supporting people affected by loneliness and social isolation. His own life was marked by loneliness for many years. Out of this personal experience, he founded Uneinsam.ch to make it easier for people in Switzerland to connect with one another and to provide accessible ways out of isolation.

He is particularly passionate about topics such as mental health, neurodiversity, inclusion, and social participation. One of Thomas’s central concerns is also the destigmatization of loneliness and being different. He advocates for more open conversations about loneliness and for those affected to be met with understanding rather than prejudice.

Through Uneinsam.ch, he pursues the vision of a Switzerland in which people reach out to one another more again and where inclusive institutions are actively encouraged. In this way, more meaningful human connections can be created - connections that can ultimately help ensure that no one has to remain alone with their thoughts, worries, or feelings.

Selina Mauch
Board Member, Treasurer

Lina is a board member and treasurer at uneinsam.ch. It is important to her to approach people with openness, understanding, and without prejudice. She supports uneinsam.ch because she firmly believes that no one should have to face their thoughts, worries, or emotions alone.

She is particularly passionate about topics such as mental health, social support, community, and mutual respect. Through her experience in social care and nursing-related fields, she understands how valuable honest listening and genuine human connection can be.

Alongside her role on the board, she enjoys contributing to projects that bring people together and empower them. She is the founder of the association “Wir sind eins” (“We Are One”). For Lina, one thing stands above all at uneinsam.ch: being there for one another together.
